Iberian wildlife in the refuge
At our shelter we provide a safe home for over 230 animals from 62 different species, all native to the Iberian Peninsula. Each of the animals at the shelter has a unique story of survival, from rescues in critical situations to liberations from abuse or illegal trade.
Our mission is to ensure that the animals in the shelter can live with dignity while we work on their rehabilitation and we educate for their conservation.

The Zoo of the Pyrenees is the zoo with the largest number of Iberian species in Spain.
Its main value lies in the fact that it is not a collection of animals, but a refuge for those who cannot survive in their natural habitat.
